

Synopsis: "Children of all ages will learn that 'Happiness is' the simple joy of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown and the familiar characters of the Peanuts gang: good ol' Charlie Brown, long-suffering but ever-lovable piano-playing Schroeder, aloof and existential blanket-dependent Linus Lucy, bossy and dangerous when allowed near a football Sally, the pouty little pragmatist the crush-worthy (albeit offstage) Little Red-Headed Girl and, of course, the huggable, hungry beagle Snoopy."

For this production, Eric Svejcar will serve as music director. You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown features a book, music and lyrics by Clark Gesner, with additional material by Andrew Lippa, and is based on the comic strip 'Peanuts' by Charles M. Also, Graydon Peter Yosowitz will be filling in as Charlie Brown from 1 to 7 June 2016. Charlie's kite won't do what he wants it to, he makes the final "out" in the baseball game he could have won, he doesn't have the nerve to talk to that little red-haired girl, and he thinks that few kids like him - but by the show's end, Lucy comes up to him and asserts, "You're a good man, Charlie Brown.The York Theatre Company, in association with Van Dean and Sister Productions, has announced the complete cast of its upcoming revival of You're a Good Man, Charlie Brown, directed by Michael Unger, which begins previews at Saint Peter's Church on, before an official opening on 2 June and a limited engagement through to 26 June 2016. The vignettes reflect moments picked from Valentine's Day to baseball season, ranging emotionally from wild optimism to utter despair.

We will be performing the revised version, billed as a "new musical entertainment," which opened on Broadway in 1999. Since then, it has become one of the most produced musicals in history.
